The creation of projects is the single most important step a user needs to do before using the functionality provided by EdgeFirst Studio. Projects are workspaces that users can use to separate their datasets and keep the various model experiments -- training and validation sessions -- separate and linked to their respective datasets.

The next sections will invite you to follow along the Web Workflow -- the end-to-end workflow that demonstrates:
1. recording a video or capturing images using a phone,
2. uploading the captured data into EdgeFirst Studio,
3. annotating the images,
4. training a model based on the images,
5. validating the trained model, and
6. deploying the model on various platforms.
This workflow requires only a phone and a PC. There are other workflows that support different hardware requirements.
